Logan was a very busy 7 year old and general wild man until June 17th, 2008 when he was diagnosed with Metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma. This is a rare and very aggressive cancer that has attacked Logan with a baseball size tumor in his right hip and traveled to his lungs with too many tumors to count. He immediately started treatment and over the past year has fought the cancer with chemo-therapy, radiation, determination, and prayers. On May 20, 2009 we were given Logan’s end of treatment cancer scan reports and the great news was that Logan was CANCER FREE. We were amazed, astounded and so very thankful for all of the love, prayers and support we have received. We celebrated this great news with a special Make-A-Wish Foundation trip to Florida. We had a wonderful time and Logan was feeling strong and happy. We visited our family in WV then went to Maine for a four day cancer camp and enjoyed “Camp Sunshine” a wonderful place for cancer kids and their families to re-group. Our family returned home to re-pack and take a quick trip to Texas, we had many members of our Southwest Airlines family that we wanted to touch base with and thank for all of the support they have shown us.

Upon our return Logan went to the hospital for his first ‘post treatment’ scan, sadly it showed a brand new tumor. This tumor is a new Ewing’s Sarcoma, it’s small (pea size) and we will be starting Chemo immediately. Our treatments will begin on Aug. 31 and run for 5 days every 21st day. This web-site is our update link to all of our family and friends that have been so kind during this time. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers you have sent our way.
